Back in Stride Again

To quote Frankie Beverly and Maze who put on a great concert at this year's Macy's Music Festival I will definitely be there next year dressed in white. I have a sewing story about that too but no pics so I'll save it for another time.

I think I finally have it figured out and hopefully this will be finished tonight. Thanks again Lesa for all your help.

It's finished I will post a picture wearing it over the weekend. The pattern says "easy" and I guess it would have been if I had read the instructions all the way through before trying to go it alone. I had to rip out stitches more times than I care to say, and the tank top is really a no-brainer but I had to take it in after I tried it on because it was too low for me, I might want to wear it to church and I don't want to flash anybody at church. In any case it's done and now on to the next project.

In the crochet world I'm working on a long red sweater that my DD requested, no pattern just winging it, hopefully it will turn out well.

I'm really pleased with the way the sleeve and cuff came out now I just have to remember what I did and make the other one the same. I still have to make the other sleeve and cuff, trim out the bottom and front and she wants a hood which I have no idea how that's going to come out but we'll see. I really hope to have this done by the end of next week.

I am using the double-ended crochet hook again for the trim, here's a pic

I am using Red Heart SuperSaver yarn so I will definitely use Sheila's blocking technique

Lovely blouse and the sweater is coming along nicely. Just remember if the garment fits prior to blocking, if you block it, the garment will be too big. Looking forward to your dd's sweater
