One more thing

I finished early so one last post. Here’s my Step-Mother’s robe. I love this color blue and I hope she will too. This was very easy, I made this almost 20 years ago, (really) for my ex’s GM.

It screams old lady doesn't it but I really like the way it came out and I don't think it looks old lady.

The jury is still out on this top Butterick 5035. You have to excuse the blurry photo, the photographer was my 6 yr. old GS, I think he did a great job but back to this top.

First of all these are the instructions. Sew front and back together, that’s it! I guess you’re supposed to leave all the other seams unfinished. You would have a homemade-hot-mess if you did that. I finished all the seams but the top is really off the shoulder so I have to wear a strapless bra—which really isn’t a bad thing because my strapless bra does wonders for my girls but it isn’t the most comfortable.
Initially I thought this fabric may have the same bad ju-ju that Adrienne experienced with her red cable—I still chuckle when I think about that but I think my bad experience with Butterick 5219 is best explained as a—one D 10 T error. We would actually say that to users when I worked on the help desk and not one of them figured out that one D 10 T spells idiot.

I don’t leave until late tonight and I’m very tempted to cut out another top out of this fabric because it would look so cute with these sandals. I will probably cut it out and if I get all my errands done try to finish it, if not it will be waiting on the sewing table when I return.

Along with this red/white knit. I really scored some nice knits at Hancock Fabrics, maybe they are finally buying a vowel and figuring out what sewers want.

Okay, that's really it for me, really, unless I finish the green/white number.
