But I did finish my first knitted sweater. I didn't use a pattern, just winged it knew I needed a front, back and sleeves. I made it short sleeves to wear in the Spring and I really like the way the sleeves came out, they're kinda of a rolled sleeve cap, I guess that's what you would call it. I have had these pants forever, my friend Trudi gave them to me before the recession cured her of her GW addiction she use to shop enough for herself, me and her sister. I loved the color but didn't have anything to wear with them and then I found this yarn and it's a perfect match. That's why I don't listen when people say if you haven't worn it in a year throw it out, whatever. I have vest from when they were in style the last time, I should have kept my platform shoes from the 70's.
Please excuse the neck shot but I wanted to show the neckline detail. I crocheted the neckline and used cord elastic to give it some shape. The middle stitch is one I learned from the book, "Get Your Crochet On" see you can learn something from the least likely of places. I have both those books and although the patterns are a little "young" for my taste my DD wanted me to make everything in them.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better sewing day, I knew I should have made another jacket lol.
