I WON A HARP!

Yes, you read that right. I won a harp lol. I stopped at the library to drop off some books so my GS could get his toy for the summer reading program and the librarian whom I've know forever told me to come back because they were going to have music. Since I wasn't doing anything it seemed like a good idea for a Thursday night and an excuse not to cut down that last tree branch.

There was a husband/wife team talking about harps, it was interesting and she said that she would give one to whoever could tell her where harps originated. This man said Ireland and then I said Egypt, the look on her face was priceless because I'm sure they never intended on giving one away, I totally guessed. I think a biblical reference may have inspired my answer, David played the harp and it was real big in the old testament, it was still just a guess maybe an inspired one but still. Now the question is what am I going to do with a harp, they will include a book and CD on learning to play the harp and we all played this evening. What a hoot, a harp...REALLY.

Needless to say I didn't cut down the last tree branch but hey I won a harp lol.

Congratulations! Keep the harp and either learn to play it yourself or get lessons for your GS. I play the violin the in a local orchestra and absolutely love it. You'll find yourself in the company of people that you would otherwise never get to know.

I have to agree with KMQ, I think I have to keep the harp and learn to play it or otherwise the story is just not believable.

I agree with the others, I would definitely keep and learn how to play.

That is awesome. I also agree, you should keep the harp and learn to play it.
