I didn't have a black skirt so I fixed that wardrobe gap with McCalls 5523, which has been done to death on PatternReview and now I know why, it's a great pattern. Quick, easy and a lot of different options. I made view B with the twill remnant from the capris I made last summer.

Of course black is impossible to photograph so you'll just have to take my word for it when I say it came out great.

Part of my bring on Spring theme, I purchased these two pique pieces from Hancock.

And a few patterns that fit the theme.

A few infant patterns to make and sell over the summer. We'll see how that goes.

I promise this will be the last time you have to look at my socks, at least now there is a pair.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I have that skirt on my wish list also
Great skirt, and love your new fabric. Also a great idea about making and selling the little kids clothing - wish you well with it.
I love your skirt, and those two pieces of pique are awesome...can't wait to see what you make!
I have that pattern, but have never made it. From what I can tell, your skirt turned out fantastic. I love it. Oh, and can I tell you now that I am loving the two pieces of fabric you just purchased.
Thanks for the comment you left me by the way. I can't wait to finally meet you in Chicago.
Love the pleat detail on your skirt. Looking forward to what becomes of the gorgeous fabrics. What yarn did you use for the socks.... They came out great.
Super skirt, and I love the prints that you'll make lovely tops to go with it. Nice socks, too!
