Quite a Drought

I can't believe how long it's been since my last post. I apologize but sometimes life just gets in the way. I haven't been doing a lot of sewing, didn't even do my marathon Christmas pj's. Hopefully 2012 will be better. I finally finished this jacket, which I started last year and had so many problems with the lining I just had to walk away.

I took a deep breath and tackled it again and I'm happy with the finished product, although I'm calling it my coat of many mistakes.

It marinated for so long I can't find the pattern, it's a project runway but I don't remember the number.
The fabric is a herringbone corduroy, my love for the fabric made me persist.

I'll leave you with a picture of our ugly Christmas sweater party at work. We had a blast.

Hopefully more sooner rather than later.

Hello Ms. Lady and welcome back. I believe its Simplicity 2508. You hung in there and the jacket looks great on you.

That's a great coat! It looks super. I made that coat, too, and want to make it yet again. Love the ugly Christmas sweaters!

This jacket is great! I think I bought this pattern too, but never got around to making it. (Like so many other patterns I have.)

Tanya, It's good to see you back at sewing. The jacket looks great no matter what the pattern number.
Happy New Year!
