She's Here

My GD didn't agree with her birthday being Tuesday January 22nd, she liked the 19th better.

 She was born yesterday at 11:30, weighing 8 lbs. even and she was 20 1/2 inches long.

 Big brother and Grandma are smitten.

 Everyone loved the bear, here it is brightening up the room and holding onto the balloons.

 God is good, I feel so blessed.

We Have a Date

And it's this Tuesday the 22nd. I wanted to make this as soon as I saw it on Made By Meg.

 Unfortunately mine didn't come out as good as hers, my arms are on upside down.

 Oh well, I want to surprise my daughter with it when she's in the hospital hopefully those arms can still hold onto some balloons lol.

I might try this again, it was a lot of fun to make even with my error.

Baby Mama Drama

Just a few more weeks to go and I'm so ready for my GD to get here and I know my DD feels the same but I do need at least one more week to finish my DD's hospital attire, a pair of pj's with matching slippers. Since she's having a girl I made this bubble gum pink robe.

 The pattern is McCalls 2476, don't know if it's OOP but I've had it for quite a few years.

 I've been crocheting, I made this free Red Heart pattern, Granny's Treasure to use up my scraps. It's on my GS's bed at my house. Believe it or not I had never made a granny square, this was great practice and a great way to use up those scarps.

 Then I started the Bernat star blanket for his bed at home because he is my star.

 

I'll leave you with this picture of my DD (left) and her friend Lana. My daughter is due in two weeks her friend isn't due until March, I don't think she's going to make it until then.

Hopefully I can get back to sewing for myself soon but as my daughter pointed out that's probably not going to happen once my GD get's here.
